        Hello,

So iv been reading around all weekend but cant find anything to help me.
This is what my doors look like

Iv made a split level house, but couldnt use foundation because im building high up on colums. All the walls look fine until I put a door in using the moveobject cheat, then you can see the wall in the middle of the door. I have tried removing the top and bottom bits of wall where i will be putting the door… (pictures taken of a different door in the same house)

Then I re-build the bottom wall back in (with the constrainfloorelevation cheat on (false)

Then i level off the top of the building but it ends up looking like this… with bits of the wall missing

Would really appreciate any help, i have been trying to figure this out all weekend 🙁

PS I am building on a beach lot, dont know if that makes a difference

I’m so sorry MissLillyPink, I’ve only just seen this post. It was in the moderation queue and for some reason I don’t get notified when there’s a post to be validated. 🙁 Hopefully one of my lovely members will be able to help you with this issue very soon!

Re: Help- Putting doors into split level walls

                Of course I can!
Where you want the door, delete the lowest wall part (where the ‘foundation’ is)
Replace the wall part you just deleted
It will cause it to ‘warp’ up top, so go up to the top and level it out
Then pop your door where you changed the wall
You can do the same thing for placing windows and garage doors

I have probably written that in a very hard to follow way, Im so tired and about to head to bed.
If you have tried it and still cant work it when I manage to get back on in the morn will quickly write out a tute for it, may do one anyway!!
