I had a problem with certain Sims 2 community lots. When building, they were absolutely fine, but when I tried to visit it with a Sim, the game would crash.

After a search, I came across this piece of software. Although it’s show for the Sims 3, it worked equally well on the Sims 2. Just remember to backup your Sims 2 exe file before using it:
