Support for The Sims 2 has ended according to a FAQ put together by EA. This means that while the game will still work for those that purchased it, no further updates or content packs will be released. As a gesture of thanks, EA will be providing all those that purchased and registered copies of The Sims 2 with The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, including all released expansion packs and stuff packs for The Sims 2. Owners should expect to see the new content appearing in their Origin accounts within the next five days.

I’m a little confused, what does it mean by Origin Accounts? Or maybe I’m just tired from a headache. What does it mean?
Thanks

If you purchased the downloadable version of the Sims 2 via Origin, you will be entitled to the ultimate version:

You can still get the Ultimate Collection if you only have the physical discs. You will need to chat to an advisor online to do it. I have the Collection in my Origin account now.

Is Origin a place or what? or a websight?
Sorry I’m so confused on this.July 22, 2014 at 8:30 am #4058LadyAngelKeymasterRe: The Sims 2 no longer supported by EA, owners get Ultimate Collection in thanks

What does this “Ultimate Collection” consist of? I have 3 licensed copies of each the whole game. I doubt I registered more than the Base Game and never contacted EA, so I doubt I have any account. Is it anything worth to care about?

I had not registered any of my games with Origin, only my Sims 3. Make an account with Origin and then contact them using the online chat facility and they will give you the digital Ultimate Collection. I’m keeping mine as a back up.

Thanks so much Lady Angel. Now I understand… Did you get my last house, Loony Toony Crazy? I hope so.
Thanks Again,

How do you contact an advisor online? The only recommendation they gave me, was to call a telephone number in USA. Do you need to be member of any Social Media? If so, forget it, I’m not and not intended to be. And I’m still not crazy enough to call USA on TS2. :0021: I got interested on this collection because it can probably solve the problem that I can’t use TS2 in my laptop due to not have inbuilt DVD player. I bought an USB DVD player but the game crashes for that USB units “sleeps” when not in use. Does anyone know of a source for No DVD crack? Not a pirate am I, I bought more than anyone else from this game. I’m needing only the cracked exe file, not the complete thing, I have 3 DVDs of each. Preferably GLS or OFB. Thanks.

No you don’t need social media to get the Ultimate Collection. You do need an Origin Account https://connect.origin.com/create. They keep changing how to do this Xptl! I managed to do it at the weekend. You will need to provide them with the code from one of your games and sometimes they want you to take a picture of the case, disc and booklet. I found the best time to sort this out was first thing in the morning whilst the most of the US was asleep.

Thanks for your attention, but I missed it already. I have had a deep depression phase and avoided to be online for obvious reasons, so it is long gone. Thanks anyway.
