Monmouth Manor
Here is my entry to October’s Challenge. I do hope you enjoy the tour 🙂
The Manor was built in 1865 by the Earl of Monmouth for his second son. Over the years it has been modernised but still retains the olde worlde charm of when it was first built. The servants bedrooms have been converted into pretty children’s bedrooms and bathrooms and the nursery into a sewing room.
The Entrance Way with its marble floor and grand sweeping staircase.
To your right is the entrance to the kitchen/breakfast room and the study. Off of the well-equipped kitchen is a small utility room (not pictured) and an exit to the kitchen garden. The study can be accessed via the kitchen or the hallway. To the left in the hallway is a small guest bathroom (not pictured).
The Study
Through the kitchen and on into the small but well laid out dining room. The TV lounge is accessed via the archway in the Dining Room or from the Hallway.
The more formal living room holds the families most prized possession – the Grand Piano. Rumour has it that it has been played by Chopin himself!
Back out into the Hallway and up the grand staircase to the landing.
From the landing you can access the Master Bedroom, Guest Room and Sewing Room, each bedroom has their own bathroom.

Back onto the landing and through the archway is a staircase leading to the next floor where you will find two children’s bedrooms and their accompanying bathrooms.Landing

Bedroom 4
Now on into the garden. The house has many accesses onto the garden and lots of little spaces to visit.
