Okay Sim Fans,
This challenge is much simpler than the last one, as there’s no building involved. What we are going to do is take a Sims 2 Maxi’s house and re-furbish it. It’s a base game lot, so everyone should have it. It’s ‘Tidy Tudor’:
Okay, you may think, this is easy-peasy, but wait for it…there are some ground rules, some do’s and dont’s:
You cannot:
Change the structure of the house in any way – i.e. you can’t move, delete or add walls
Change the location of doors and windows
Change the roof
You can:Change the decor
Change doors and windows, as long as they remain in the same position
Change roof pattern
Use arches in place of doors
Add, delete, change furnishings
Use Cheats
Add as much custom content as you want
Use any expansion and/or stuff packs
Add fencing
Add landscaping
Add a garage/car etc.Required Images:
Floor plan views of each floor
Front and back views from street level
Pictures of each room in the house. Please use a [ame=”https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=free+image+host&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a”%5Dfree image host[/ame] to show off your creations rather than uploading attachments. Our server space is limited.
Thank you.Okay, there it is. I hope this is nice and challenging, but not as difficult as our first one. You can of course reply to this post with your creation images, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them!

This sounds great. I really like the focus on decorating rather than rebuilding the house. It would be a nice change to work on this rather than the typical gameplay.
Does this run for the entire month of July?

I suppose adding additional windows is not allowed?

LadyAngel, just something that stands out for me in a negative way is that the barrel for a rubbish bin looks a little out of place.
I’m surprised to see, though, that we have many of the same CC items! In fact I’ve used the same big flower bush outside my tudor as you have. I’m excited to share pictures of mine after I furnish the upper level.

Hee hee I forgot about that bin! I changed the default bin for a Tudor neighbourhood I’m building and forgot to change it back!

Love it Lady Angel looks stunning! Was almost finished mine the other night and it crashed!! Thankfully I’d saved it 5 mins before so only lost 5 mins of work instead of 2 hours!! Thats both Sims 2 and 3 that have crashed recently for me, think a computer clean may be in order!

Thanks tiff. 🙂 So pleased you managed to save your hard work. I’m a serial saver, but I’ve forgotten before and lost everything, it’s a nightmare!

TofuSnorlax, this is really lovely. I like that you’ve stuck to the Tudor theme, and I love the little wellingtons under the hall table, where did you get those?

Ooh, I really like this. I love the parking area, and the way you’ve incorporated the sofa with the drawers upstairs! Very novel!
