January Challenge 2015 – Dorms

Okay Sim Fans,

This is a not-too-difficult challenge to begin the year – it’s to create a dorm using the Sims 2! It can be as large or a small as you like, with as much or as little landscaping as you like. You can use any expansion and stuff packs and be as quirky as you want! Just follow the these simple rules:

The dorm must have at least:

• 3 bedrooms
• 2 bathrooms
• 1 study room/library
• 1 kitchen/dining room
• 1 recreation area

Required Images:

Floor plan views of each floor
Front and back views from street level
Pictures of each room in the house. If you can’t manage to take a screenshot of the bathrooms you can leave them out, but we have some screenshot tutorials that may help

Note that this is a challenge, it isn’t a competition with prizes, and we won’t be picking an overall winner. Simply reply to this post with your pictures. This is about as posh as it gets…for our Sims that can afford it, this is a luxury dorm only for gifted teens. Here you will find the future doctors, artists, scientists that will change the world as we know it!

What a fabulous dorm! It is like a beautiful castle for nobility. Yes, our Sim teens totally deserve this!

Simly Dorm is modern and cheery, light and bright, roomy and comfy. It has just become the home of Jimmy Phoenix, who unfortunately has lost a lot of points having conversations with girls who aren’t interested in what he has to say. He did manage to earn a body skill point in the rooftop workout room and go for a swim in the rooftop pool before he went to his first class.

The ground floor has expansive lobby with sofas, piano, pinball machine, study area, cafeteria, and restrooms. Second floor has 4 rooms and his and her community bathrooms. Third floor has 3 rooms and bathrooms. Each landing has TV, minifridge, and microwave. Simly Dorm will hopefully help your university Sims to success.

I would never have thought of creating a modern building for a dorm, but this really works very, very well. The rooftop pool is stunning and something I can’t achieve myself. Thank you for your entry Anne, you’re always so supportive of my little site! 🙂
