Re: Foundation Challenge
LadyAngel, my sims would feel so at home here! You have made the familiar stuff look fresh and new and I love that sloping garage also. Gives the house a modern shape!

Tiff, I love how you clutter up the kids’ rooms! Even in sim world we can’t escape the reality of messiness! But it really works in your house. Makes us feel like we’re right at home! I do love the country cottage look as well. Your challenge is so fun because everyone’s house is so different while starting out the same. Like life! We all have a shot, it’s what we do with it!

Morriston Cottage
A three bedroom, one storey cottage, decorated with a cottage feel.
As you walk through the garden gate and on into the garden you are met by the welcoming porch. Go on through the front door and into the hallway, hang up your coat and pass by the computer station and bookcases (sorry you’ll need to provide your own computer). On into the lounge area of the open plan living room.
Go through the lounge, decorated in blue florals, and on into the kitchen dining area where the blue theme is continued.
From the kitchen turn right through the archway into the lobby where there are three doors. Choose the one on the left and enter into a calming master bedroom. The master bedroom has its own private balcony looking out onto the pretty cottage garden.
Back into the lobby and the next door leads into a small nursery, decorated in cool mint green, perfect for a baby, whichever gender arrives.
The last door, in the lobby, leads to the family bathroom, clean and bright, decorated in bright yellow!
Back through the archway into the kitchen and through into the conservatory. The owners have managed to scrape enough money together to buy this rather wonderful grand piano, I hope you will enjoy playing it!
Out of the patio doors and onto the patio area, where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast on a lovely sunny morning.
Back into the house and there is access to a guest cloakroom from the hallway and the third bedroom.
The third bedroom is decorated for a little girl in soft pinks.
Walking back through the house and out through the conservatory and on into the cottage garden, follow the path and see where it leads. It leads to a chess set and another seating area. Why not paint a picture of the beautiful garden at the easel? On past the children’s play area and onto the front garden where a large pond takes pride of place on the front lawn.
I do hope you enjoyed the tour of Morriston Cottage, it will be available for download in the near future.

Cheeky! The roof turned out sensational! I agree with the others about the lovely light and spaciousness. The window blinds and curtains really add so much to the decor. You chose just the right things. Congratulations on a wonderful lot for the challenge!
Tricia!!!! Thanks lovey 😀 Any comment from you means ALOT to me :rose:

Karen, your house has definitely won me over. That cottage style ranks very high in my book. The lounge is particularly stunning. I love the white and blue colors and the rich brown floor really evens the whole room out. I’m looking forward to seeing this house for download!

That’s awesome Karen! Love the styling on the inside and the use of the use of siding for the foundation looks really good 🙂

Tofu! I love the mansard roof which I think gives the house a fairy tale look, truly lovely and unique. Your choice of cc is perfect. Choosing the perfect cc is what I’m too lazy to do and why I can’t really compete, but I love looking at what you and the others have done!

Karen Lorraine! The blue florals are so restful and serene! I love it! I also think your floor plan makes perfect use of the space, none wasted! I like how you have an entry way so that sims don’t walk directly into the lounge and I like how the sleeping quarters have their own side of the house. It’s fantastic!

Thanks Tric. And you don’t have to use CC to create stunning houses, you do it all the time, so love to see an entry from you 🙂
