Re: Foundation Challenge
Thanks! 🙂
Tiff, this is gorgeous! I love the way your roofs blend in so well together, and your cc is gorgeous! And I always wanted a Siamese cat, if that’s the breed on the sofa…so cute! Can I ask where you got all this cc, particularly the bedding and kitchen units? If you got it from a ‘booty’ of some sort, it’s okay to say! 😉

Never use pay items, not when you can find so much for free and usually better too! Beddings are from Donnhas blog https://donnhasims.wordpress.com/ (so are all the walls) Kitchen is From RGiles at mts https://www.modthesims.info/d/55554 Cat come from Nemestnaya at blackpearls https://www.blackpearlsims.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=132 Pretty n Pink set, and pretty much most of the itty bitty stuff came from various sets of hers as well.
Thanks guys for all the lovely comments 🙂 and for doing my challenge, all the houses look fab! What great talent we have here at Sims Fans!

I started strong with this challenge early in the month but somehow ended up taking all this time to finish. Then I got increasingly lazy with my photo editing. Anyway, here is my little home:
At the heart of this home is a comfortable lounge full of antiques and a nook on the side to play a game of chess undisturbed.
Alongside the lounge is a fancy top-of-the-line kitchen and dining area.
In one wing of the house is the spacious master bedroom.
On the other side of the house is a charming gender-neutral room suitable for a child or teen.
The ground level has a small bathroom (beige) with all the essentials, while the upstairs bathroom (blue) is much more grandiose.
Speaking of upstairs, I designed it to be an extra space rather than a necessity because it’s difficult to see into it, what with the roof style. It’s also mostly unfurnished except for a piano, workout equipment, and a sewing room which is easily changed into another bedroom.
And here are a few exterior details to wrap it up. I guess the reason it took me so long to complete this challenge was that I spent all month finding lovely new CC that I wanted to play with, such as pretty shrubs and this patio furniture.
This was a great challenge for fans of building and designing alike and I hope we will see more foundation challenges from creative minds in the future!

I would never, ever thought of using that roof for this challenge, but it definitely works! This is a really stunning home, and your kitchen cc is gorgeous! Can I ask where you got the garden flowers from? 🙂

The big shrubs are from 2 MTS posts, you’ll see a link to the second one in the description of the first one here:
https://www.modthesims.info/d/230933The leafy frondy bits are the “Yucca” from here:

I would also recommend the “Globe shrub” from that link!September 28, 2012 at 12:41 pm #3588LadyAngelKeymasterRe: Foundation Challenge

Cheeky! The roof turned out sensational! I agree with the others about the lovely light and spaciousness. The window blinds and curtains really add so much to the decor. You chose just the right things. Congratulations on a wonderful lot for the challenge!

DeadSim, your house is decidedly masculine, for a super successful, competent businessman sim with impeccable taste and who insists on the finest of everything! I love the exterior shape with all of its roof angles and those half stairs inside are awesome. The house looks real!
