I would do whatever you think your downloaders would like. But if you create categories and there is nothing in them it might have a detrimental effect. Creating categories as the need arises may be a better idea.

Im with Karen, I think a needs must approach is better, just so it looks a bit more full now than having someone come on and think theres not alot to download (we know there is though!)

Thanks for the feedback. I would transfer all downloads to the new categories, which would be easier now than if there were hundreds! 🙂

I’ll just put my opinion in and say I have to agree as well. Don’t want to have too many categories that are empty.

Okay, I think I’ve reached a happy compromise, based on my member feedback. Instead of creating new categories, I’ve added new fields to the downloads. So now members can search for items in the build and buy categories by type, room and function if they so wish, but the categories themselves will remain the same. I hope this is acceptable. 🙂

That sounds like a better idea. Less empty categories and let’s users sort items based by searching for something more specific. Nice idea @LadyAngel
