LET THE IMAGINATION RUN WILD!
I have a foundation challenge for you today. This will also be for sims 3, it just takes me a bit longer to fire that game up, will have the download for that in the next hour.
RULES
This is basically an anything goes challenge.
You can build a residential, community, apartment, accomadation, whatever.
I have added a (correct) space in for a garage or a carport, up to you if you want one there or not. All that is allowed in that space is a garage or carport unless it is taken completely out and landscaped.
No other additions/changes to the foundation though.
CC can be used, any eps/sps Let the imagination go and lets see what everyone can come up with!Attachments:

Great challenge. This is quite like the July Challenge with the building shell but without restriction on levels and the roof. Just wondering how the garage would be added in here though. Will it require any CFE-ing or something scary like that?

It is with CFE, but it is really easy trust me, heres the first ever tutorial I used for a garage on a foundation, just follow this and you can do it 🙂 https://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/story_detail.php?asset_id=53552&hideFramework=&languageCode

And how about adding a deck? Does that count as changing the foundation? It’s in the foundation section after all.

If theres a part of the foundation that you want as a deck thats fine, just cant add anymore foundation (apart from a garage)

Tiff, you said you’ve added the correct space for a garage. Did you mean the “driveway” tiles you’ve placed? I was assuming you meant the bit of foundation right past the “driveway” and now realized it’s too short to be a garage. Does this mean we can add walls and such around part of the “driveway” tiles?
September 3, 2012 at 9:37 pm #3272ekrubynaffitRe: Foundation Challenge
Yup where the tiles are is the space for a garage, so if you want one build where the tiles are, if you dont want one then just take out the tiles if you dont want them there 🙂

I’m really looking forward to this challenge 🙂
I just gotta hope that I will have the time for it. Uni is so stressful and the assignments are very time consuming :/Are we allowed to raise the foundation to make it 8 clicks or is it restricted to 4?
For the garage I noticed it will need to cut into the foundation by 1 row because the driveway is just a bit short.September 4, 2012 at 10:29 am #3279ekrubynaffitRe: Foundation Challenge

Thats odd it shouldnt be too short as had placed the two driveway peices first and then went over it with the tile then deleted the peices, so it should in theory be the same length. Will have a look at it tomorrow as am about to head to bed! 🙂September 4, 2012 at 2:54 pm #3282TofuSnorlaxParticipantRe: Foundation Challenge
I noticed too that the “driveway” section is too short for a driveway + extension piece. I used moveobjects to place it though. I hope the Sims’ car won’t look like it rammed into their house!

So it is, grrrr that makes me so mad and I apologize to everyone! I have built on short driveways many time before though, so if you use the invisible driveway https://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=90875 and move_objects on it is fine and theres still plenty of room for cars and they are still usable 🙂
