I’m always fascinated by the many different usernames people use. Some are funny, some are clever, some are anagrams of a member’s name, some are just plain baffling! I’d love to know how you think them up. 🙂

For instance, my real name, Angela, means heavenly messenger, hence the ‘angel’ part. The ‘lady’ bit just seemed to go nicely with it. What about my members? Where did you all get your usernames from?

Lol, I’ve done that many a time. I’ve even purchased silly domain names and then hadn’t a clue what to do with them!

Tricia Manly is a a sim name. Her original name was Tricia Cameron and she was created to be a nanny to a couple with a baby but then I didn’t know how to move her in with the couple because I only had base game and no knowledge. I moved her into her own house and another character of mine, Chris Manly, who had bought the biggest lot in order to build apartments and ended up totally in the red, and was abandoned for lost by me, walked by. I didn’t realize that Chris Manly still even existed, but you know the sims game. Anyway, she skipped work to meet him, they played chess, fell in love, married, had two children Will and Corinne, adopted a child, Bill, moved downtown, and then stupidly after the children were grown, I moved Tricia and Chris to another neighborhood and they lost all of their family relationships. They adopted a baby, but that’s where I left them and after installing and reinstalling multiple eps, they are past history, but will always be my favorite sim family. Is that enough, or would you like more details?

Jamjar, came from a lazy/joking pronounciation by my late Dad of the famous frenchman Jean-Michel Jarre, he of the Son et lumière productions done all over the world. I have seen Jean-Michel twice in concert when he has toured the UK. My Dad would always tease me by pronouncing Jamjar for Jean-Michel Jarre 😉

I play tabletop Roleplaying games (or I used to ;)). Tremayne was one of my Vampire: the Masquerade characters and it was about that time that my hubby and I got internet service. I am Tremayne pretty much anywhere usually Tremayne7 (lucky 7 I guess:D).

I play Neverwinter Nights also on the computer and lots of folks there call me Tre or Trey for short.

I used to think you must be Egyptian, with a name like that, lol! Never was much good at anagrams!

Mine is just my first and middle names because when I first registered at MTS and TSR (yes, I’m registered there too, although I don’t visit very often now) I didn’t really know what a username was, I thought how silly, can’t I just use my name? So I did. If I go on BPS I’m registered as Pepsi, because I couldn’t register as karen lorraine (might have registered there ages ago but long forgotten what the password was, lol!)

Not a very exciting story.

Interesting stories from everyone 🙂
I had only recently made mine up when I wanted to change my username on MTS which was ‘cameron360’. It annoyed me a lot so I came up with something random, different, and recognisable. It can also be shortened to TDS for convenience purposes. There is also a story behind it if you are interested (somewhat tragic). Anyway, my request got approved and then decided to register on this site as well with the same name. My previous username was made when I was younger and didn’t think I would have used it in future. Sorry for the long story. I like to share 🙂
